Sunday was somewhat different. Wind, wind and more wind. There were a few folk questioning the wisdom of being there in the car park at 8.15. Again first train up the hill. Ellie headed off to gate training and I skied the upper mountain and found some lovely lines of powder down the snow feincing and skied solid from 9 toll 12 when the legs definitely decided they had had enough and the wind was getting pretty wild. The racers kept going till just before 3 when they closed the hill due to the deteriorating weather and it was time to make a hasty exit as it was starting to snow.

Weekend at Cairngorm With Ellie
Ellie had training with SSC at Cairngorm over the weekend. The two days could not have been more different. Saturday clear skies first thing and then a little high cloud later on but minimal wind so great skiing conditions. We caught first funicular up and were on the pistes at 9AM. Ellie disappeared off to race training and left me to amuse myself and find my way round having not been to Cairngorm to ski for about 25 years!
