Walk Along Coast to Ardmaddy

Went for a walk down to the wreck of the old Ballachulish Ferry and then along the old path through to Ardmaddy.  Enjoyed a beautiful sunset.

Storm Connor

Went for a boxing day walk from Seaview towards Cuan.  Photography was darn near impossible, trying to keep the camera still and level was a non-starter in what were definitely storm force winds.  Spectacular seascapes.

Christmas

Enjoying a somewhat stormy Xmas over in Argyll, storms Barbara and Connor came in quick succession leaving some magnificent seascapes for those brave enough to go out!

Wasn't too much of a hardship, I got the most fantastic present from Julie, a radio controlled model racing yacht!  Took most of Xmas day to get it put together and rigged but given the weather that was no hardship. Can't wait for the weather to abate enough for her sea trials.

Thanks go to my parents for our new addition to the family, a baby seal in limestone.

Not quite figured out what to call it yet,, answers on a postcard please.  As for the girls, the usual mass of presents, no prizes for guessing Ellie's favourite.  Isobel had a decent camera and lens.

Inverurie Concert Band Xmas Concert 2016

Inspired by seeing the pleasure and fun that Isobel and Ellie have had from playing in the school bands this autumn I joined the ranks of the Inverurie Concert Band.  It has been a very steep learning curve to put it mildly.  Never having played in an ensemble and only having taken up the clarinet again a few years ago it has been a considerable challenge.  Thanks must go to my fellow band members for their tolerance of the newcomer!!

School Xmas Concert

It was the school Christmas Concert on Thursday, Isobel was playing in both the big band and the concert band.  We had a change of venue this year, the Music Hall is being redecorated so we were down in the Beach Ballroom.

Training 4th December 2016

Sunday dawned cold and clear, -4C and as a result the dry slope was running nice and fast and there was some great racing, Ellie skiing confidently and well, apart from one run at the end...........the pictures tell it all!  No injuries resulted!
