Kyaking

Whilst Ellie and Julie were away down in Glasgow ski racing, Isobel and I decided to have a weekend chilling at the cottage.  Weather was fab.  Saturday did a few jobs in the morning including some mowing and strimming whilst waiting for the right state of tide to go up under the Bridge over The Atlantic and round to Puilladobhrain.  We left at 2 and the tide was just turning against us as we went under the bridge but by sticking to the side of the channel we were able to get up the narrows and round into Puilladobhrain.

Had a lazy paddle round the anchorage deciding which yacht to board and steal! : ) Then went out between the islands and round to Ardfadd, a little more exposed and slightly choppier before enjoying the wind and tide pushing us back down under the bridge and home.

Having made room for it with the kayaking we then went and enjoyed fish and chips in Oban! This was followed by nipping into Waterstones and dad coming out considerably lighter in the pocket!

Sunday was a cycle to Cuan to the Luing ferry then up the Easdale hill and then home.  Afraid there are no photos of the cycling but here are some good kayaking ones.
