Just had a weekend down in Eastbury with Grandma and Grandma, it was Grandma's 92nd birthday. Spent the time getting the garden into shape , especially the patios and pots. Thanks to Pat for a wonderful birthday lunch and cake.

A Hockey Win and a Silver Medal in Skiing
Not a bad sporting weekend as these things go, Scotland might be out of the World Cup but in the Green household it was all good. Isobel kicked off the action on Saturday. She was home from Strathclyde to play in goal for Granite City first team against Dundee University. A 5-1 win was their first win of the season having had a tough first few games. Afraid there are no pictures as Julie forgot the camera!
Ellie followed that up last night, skiing in the Robert Gordons A team at the Scottish Schools Ski Association qualifier in Aberdeen. It was extremely close with Robert Gordons beating all the other teams in the first round robin, including Cults. In the second round robin Cults struck back with both teams beating all the others. That left RGC and Cults equal on points so a ski off was required, a best of three races. Cults won the first, RGC the second but sadly Cults just sneaked the third to take the win with RGC in second.

Back From Strathclyde!!
She lasted a week then missed us so much she had to come home for the weekend..........well not really...... suspect it was the lure of a hockey match that was the real reason for coming home! But like all students she brought back the dirty washing and even on Friday evening was eyeing up food to take back!
Ellie was in charge of the camera at the hockey match so much better standard of photos than normal.
And the result? Best not to talk about that, the Granite City defence went missing!

Off to Strathclyde
Isobel has set sail! Heading off to Strathclyde with Julie, via Countesswells for Granite City 1st team's first match of the season, which sadly ended with a 1-0 loss to local rivals Merlins. Isobel did however make some fabulous saves.
You would never guess she is back up for a match next weekend! Good luck in your studies Isobel.
| Enough eggs and veg to survive the first week! (Eggs courtesy of Zena!) |
| Nice to see Geoffrey Bear made it in! |

Scottish Dry Slope Champs, Hillend
Ellie and I were down at Hillend for the Scottish Dry Slope Championships last weekend. Ellie's first outing at the U18 age level. Saturday was slalom and Sunday Giant Slalom. Unfortunately Ellie fell on the top steep section in the first run of the slalom so didn't get a time but did go back up and completed a clean second run.
Sunday was GS, her preferred discipline and she got two clean runs, first one was 37 seconds and the second run she improved to get down in 35 seconds, her fastest run down the Hillend slope.
