Training at Alford and Sunday Baking

After yesterdays race in Edinburgh it was back to Alford for more training this morning, another day, another dry slope!  A few photos of Ellie and friends below.

This afternoon it was a mixture of homework, fitness on the turbo trainer in the garage and then baking for Ellie.  The fruits of her baking efforts can be seen below!  A raspberry and chocolate cake.

Bairns and Lassies Race, Hillend Edinburgh

Ellie and I were down at Hillend Ski Slope in Edinburgh today having traveled down last night as it was a 7.30AM start!  The race was run over two runs of Giant Slalom.  Ellie definitely going for it today and skied much more confidently than in the past and it showed in her times even beating one of the local skiers who have a distinct advantage being on home ground.

Saturday Hockey

Isobel was playing for the first team today against Fettes College Edinburgh.  Unfortunately they lost 2-0 but she pulled off some great saves.  Better result for her club  Granite City 1st team against Dundee this afternoon coming away with a 2-1 win.

Ellie's Trip To Hintertux

Friday night saw Ellie returning from a 2 week ski racing camp in Hintertux in Austria with Sean Langmuir and his team at ATC.  She had a fantastic time and only lost one day to the weather which is exceptional given they were skiing up on the glacier.  She has come back with some stunning photos and I have to say that I suspect we missed her a lot more than she missed us!!  Life was very quiet without our little chatterbox!
