Despite the cold temperatures with the wind coming straight off the north sea things are moving forward slowly and whilst it is nowhere near as good as last years bumper display we have got a few plants flowering well.

Weekend Hockey
Isobel was drafted into the Granite City seconds today, their usual keeper is on exam duty! They were playing Highland up in Inverness. Unfortunately a 2-0 loss but some good saves by Isobel including a spectacular diving save in a one on one situation, unfortunately not caught on camera as Julie was too gobsmacked!
Weekend Baking
Julie is leading 2 days of baking for the pupils at her schools project week in a weeks time. Lucky us! She is practicing all the recipes on us! This weekend, chocolate and beetroot muffins and an orange cake, both yummy!
Oops, forgot to mention the soda bread.

Breakfast Entertainment
We are joined by our friendly neighbourhood red squirrel at breakfast each morning! The feeder hangs from the lintel of the kitchen window, you could reach out and touch him he is that close and seems oblivious to the company.
